Pic is the first draft for the cover, The final has a KW truck in the foreground Having worked the Vancouver waterfront and in the trucking business I had first hand knowledge of the crime which went on. So this was an easy novel for me to write.

I'm a little behind with my blogging, i have been sufferering from a severe head cold and the Gout both at the same time. However on May 2nd I visited two schools with the raise a reader programme It was a very successful day giving me tremendous pleasure. Needless to say, i did very little new writing with my head feeling rather like a soccer ball. Sales of my new novel Union Boss are going quite well.

It has been a very sad day. We had to put our dog down due to her suffering. For the first time since i left the farm many years ago I dug a deep grave. I dug it for her in my back yard. It is our plan to plant an ornamental tree over top of her. When I worked on the farm this kind of thing was commonplace. In my senior years i have mellowed, and find the event highly disturbing. No longer will we be greeted at the front door with a loving creature bringing us one of her doggy toys.

He uses her as his cover for his activities. She cannot rid herself of him, and tries a number of times to murder him, but her plans fail. Susan has several romantic interludes.
